Industrial Tourism Forum

As from today and until 18 November, Euskadi is celebrating International Industrial Tourism Week, the aim of which is to avoid this this heritage falling into oblivion. The week will kick off with the inauguration of Euskadi’s first International Industrial Tourism Forum in Portugalete, which will be attended by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto. In this gathering we will learn about other experiences of this kind that have already been implemented in the Ruhr Basin (Germany), Silesia (Poland), Catalonia and Asturias. It is a week in which there will visits to outstanding Basque industrial heritage sites and activities for the public at large, which will also include the creation of an Industrial Resource Network in Euskadi, to subsequently become part of the European Heritage Route.
