Agustín Ugarte’s Getxo Olympic Triathlon Memorial

This weekend, Getxo will host the Agustín Ugarte’s Olympic Triathlon Memorial, a sporting event that pays tribute to this great triathlon athlete, who died five years ago. This sporting event challenges competitors to complete a race distance of 1,5 km swimming, 46 km cycling and 10 km running. The amazing starting point will be Las Arenas beach, a few metres away from the Bizkaia Bridge, with a cycling itinerary leading inland through Unbe, Loiu, Gatika, Laukiz, Urduliz and Leioa, and a running race going from Churruca breakwater to the rowing and sailing pavilion at the Marina, going twice around it. http://memorialagustinugarte.net/
