Herri Antzerki – Popular Theatre in Portugalete

To mark its 125th anniversary, next Sunday, 16 December, Bizkaia Bridge will be starring in the first popular theatre work (pastoral) in Portugalete. Over three acts and nine scenes, the bridge will come to life, being played by a person who will tell us all the landmarks in its 125-year history: Its building project, construction, the war, the post-war years, labour disputes and through to the present. It is a work based on the ideas of the Portugalete residents which, through song and dance, will be performed thanks to public participation, given that over 100 participants will be required on stage.
